Neck Badge 84x57 mm, gilt Silver and white enamel, obverse centre with convex phoenix rising from the flames, crossed swords between the cross's arms, reverse medallion with royal monogram "P" (for King Paul I), crown suspension, circular ring and tapering ribbon ring, original, neck ribbon with gilt hook and eyelet, in original case of issue by "Anagnostopoulos, Athenes", with gilt weapon on the lid. A rare decoration, with nice patina and in very fine condition, identical to the piece illustrated in: G. J. Beldecos: "Hellenic Orders and Medals", Athens, Hellenic War Museum, 1991, plate 43. I R!

The Order of Honour and Merit
Grand Cross Set. Sash Badge, 93x56 mm, in gilt Silver with blue enameled arms, blue enameled centre medallion with gilt Athena`s head, blue enameled reverse medallion within white border with gilt, greek inscription "GREEK REPUBLIC ", oak wreath suspension and original, full sash ribbon. Breast Star,92 mm, with silver rays (greenspan) and blue enameled gilt centre as the badge`s obverse, the reverse, with broad pin, this, struck with a French mark, in the original, blue case of issue, with maker`s mark of Arthus Bertrand, Paris. This Order, was instituted in 1975 to take place of the abolished Order of George I, it ranks after the Order of the Redeemer and is awarded for special merits and achievements towards the State. A class very rare to find, extremly fine condition. I RR!

A complete group of Knight of Collar: gilt silver neck chain composed by 8 lions passant with red enameled tongues, 4 crowned monograms, a centre link in the form of a double eagle charged with the royal monogram and the closure link with a framed double eagle with rear coulisse catch, the Order`s cross in gilt silver and enamels, with accurately painted centre medallion, the reverse with the royal Greek coat-of-arms, upper crown with red enameled inner cap. Dim.: collar length, 685,0 mm., the badge to the collar, 80.0x45.0 mm. Very rare and superb! I RR!

Breast Star, 56x49 mm, with faceted silver rays superimposed by the enameled order`s cross, smooth reverse with maker`s escutcheon of Spink & Son, London and broad, polished pin. Extremely rare set and extremely fine condition.This Order, instituted in 1936 was rarely awarded and statutorily destined for special merit and outstanding services to the Royal House, in this class, given to high-ranking officers, close to the Royal House only. Royal Family Order of St. Sophia and St. Olga (instituted in 1936)
Dame Grand Cross Set. Sash Badge, 46x42 mm, in gilt Silver, blue enamel and red enameled royal crown, applied enameled medallion with fine miniature painting of the two saints, long suspension ring, original sash of reduced width for ladies. Breast Star, 65 mm, with smooth arms and enameled centre medallion, the reverse with round, vertical pin and maker`s escutcheon of Spink & Son, London, in the large, deep blue morocco case of issue with gold-embossed coat of arms on the lid, inner cushion with maker`s mark of Spink & Son, London. A very elegant, early set of great rarity, extremely fine condition! The Order was instituted by King George II in commemoration of his grandmother, Queen Olga and his mother, Queen Sophia, it was awarded to noble Ladies, for outstanding merits to the Royal House. Discontinued as a State order in 1973, is today awarded by the head of the Greek Royal Family. I RR!
