Breast Badge, 56x48 mm., Silver, one-side enameled, original suspension ring and ribbon, in case of issue by "Arthus-Bertrand - Paris" with lapel bar, together with note with name of the recipient. A beautiful cross, awarded to an British Official, in mint condition! I

The Unique, Jeweled Breast Star of the Order of the Ottoman Dynasty, belonged to Prince Sehzade Ömer Faruk
Silver Star of slightly oval form, 84 mm., with dagger-shaped rays, all profusely set with brilliants, centre medallion in gold embossed with the Sultan’s Mahmud II (1784–1839) Tughra and inscriptions on polished ground within red enameled outer circlet, also bearing inscriptions in Arabic calligraphy, mirror-polished reverse with convex, round counter-medallion this, bearing a further, oval escutcheon with the Ottoman Imperial coat-of-arms, a mark and the maker’s mark of Ah. Neguib Bey, Cairo (court jewelers to the King of Egypt), fitted with vertical pin. An extraordinary piece of which no further piece is known, besides the already extremely rare collars, as worn by the members of the Imperial family. Probably and until now almost unknown “Special Class” to be worn with a badge suspended to a sash, destined to the closest members of the Ottoman Imperial family, this piece, in the finest quality, typical of Cairo’s jewelers working to the Khedival, then Royal family in exile, excellent condition. Commemorative Medal for the State Visit of the German Emperor Wilhelm II to Istanbul, 1889 (Alman Mülakati Madalyası)
Gold Medal (of the wearable type), 29,8 mm., GOLD, the obverse with the Imperial Ottoman Coat-of-Arms, and the Tughra of Sultan Abdülhamid II within beams, the whole surrounded by the inscription in Arabic calligraphy: “Meeting of Sultan Abdülhamid II with the Emperor of Germany Wilhelm II in Constantinople, on the 7th Rebiyülevvel of the Year 1307” (November 2nd, 1889) and an engraved date and inscription below, the reverse, with the Imperial German Eagle surrounded by German text on two concentric lines: “Zur ERINNERUNG AN DEN BESUCH SEINER MAJESTÄT DES DEUTSCHEN KAISERS WILHELM II. BEi SEINER MAJESTÄT DEM KAiSER DER OSMANEN ABDUL-HAMID KHAN II. IN CONSTANTINOPEL 2. NOVEMBER 1889”, with round suspension loop, and smooth ribbon ring, with original, silk ribbon. An extremely rare medal, awarded from 1892, divided into 4 classes (whose first one, was a non wearable medallion in gold, struck in 4 pieces only), the hereby offered piece is one of the 100 struck pieces only, awarded to the highest dignitaries, both civil and military, present to the event, excellent condition. The Liyakat Medal
Gold Medal ‘Abd al-Hamid Khan II, 1293–1327 H./1876–1909 (1918), 25 mm., the obverse with the Ottoman coat-of-arms, the reverse with calligraphic inscription in Arabic lettering: “Liyâkat Madalyası - sadâkat ve Гecâ’at ibrâz edenlere Mahsûsdur 1308” (“The Merit Medal – Reserved to all those who showed Fidelity and Courage. [AD] 1890”), pierced and mounted with the original suspension ring and silver, rectangular bar with original ribbon and gilt clasp with swords and date “1332”. A signifcant and beautiful medal, uncommon in this perfect condition. I

1st Class Badge with Diamonds, instituted in 1862. Sash Badge, 79x61mm., GOLD, green enameled, the enameled rays, alternated with diamond-set ones, red enameled centre medallion with Arabic inscription: “Abdülaziz Khan, Sovereign of the Ottoman State, who relies on Divine Guidance”, green enameled reverse with centre medallion in gold depicting drums and flags, above, an oval with the date “699” (1299/1300), GOLD Crescent and Star suspension and grooved ribbon ring, original, unsewn sash ribbon. An outstandingly rare badge of the highest class of this order, instituted at the end of 1861, awarded by the Sultan for exceptional merits towards the Turkish sovereign. A superb luxury badge, in extremely fine condition! I
