Sash Badge, 94x53 mm., with white enameled cross with pomed endings, flanked by towers with black enameled portails and windows, white enameled centre medallion, with applied, chiseled bust of the saint, blue enameled outer circlet, bearing the inscription “SAN MARINO PROTETTORE”, white enameled centre medallion with golden coat of arms of the Republic, within blue enameled outer circlet with the inscription “MERITO CIVILE E MILITARE”, large suspension crown and round ring, original sash ribbon. Breast Star, 84 mm., with chiseled and pierced silver rays, white enameled cross in gold, similar to the badge, but flanked by green enameled oak and laurel branches, blue enameled centre medallion bearing the golden inscription “RELINQUO VOS LIBEROS AB UTROQUE HOMINE”, within golden outer circlet with chiseled as faceted, golden beads, polished reverse, with vertical pin and two side-hooks (the catch, with silver mark). A very early and extremely rare set, dating to the institution of the Order in 1860, of the finest, Italian (probably, Piedmontese) manufacture, excellent condition. I RR!

Breast Star, 86.8 mm., with beautifully chiseled and pierced silver rays, white enameled cross in gold, similar to the badge, but flanked by green enameled oak and laurel branches, blue enameled centre medallion bearing the golden inscription "RELINQUO VOS LIBEROS AB UTROQUE HOMINE", within golden outer circlet with chiseled as faceted, golden beads, gilt, polished reverse, with vertical pin and maker's escutcheon of "Halley, Paris", in the original, night-blue morocco case, with fitted inner compartment of the finest, French manufacture and interesting provenance, excellent condition. An early and very rare set awarded for military merit, dating to the 3rd quarter of the 19th Century, of the finest, manufacture, excellent condition. I R!
