Dame’s Badge of the Order, 2nd Type, White Distinction, 62x50 mm., GOLD, purple-red enameled Maltese cross superimposed by a white enameled, 8-pointed star with chiseled borders and ball-finials set with Diamonds, the whole flanked by elaborate ornamentation of toned silver, off-white enameled centre medallion with white border bearing the motto “FORTITUDO – CHARITAS – ABNEGATIO” in black, around a “Gothic” ornament, within a roughly quadrangular outer border with chiseled details, below a polychrome enameled allegory of the Charity, rising from green enameled laurel wreath, elaborately ornamented upper loop, with round suspension ring, the reverse, similar to the obverse, but without the allegoric image, off-white enameled centre medallion within white enameled outer circlet, bearing inscription “BENEFICENCIA PUBLICA” and green enameled laurel wreath, elaborate suspension with cylindrical loop and round ribbon-ring, with original, bow-ribbon for ladies. A beautiful, rare piece from the 2nd quarter of 20th Century, excellent condition. I R!

The Order of Yoke and Arrows
Grand Cross Set, instituted in 1937. Sash Badge, 63x58 mm, gilt Bronze, cross made of polished, black onyx, a golden circle flanks the arms and the centre is charged with the red enameled symbol of a yoke bearing the motto “CAESARIS CAESARI DEI DEO” (to Caesar what’s Caesar’s, to God what’s God’s), the reverse, fitted with convex countermedallion acting as retainer of the obverse’s centre, upper, sphaerical loop, round ring and ornamented, tapering ribbon ring, with original, ull-length sash ribbon. Breast Star, 71 mm., gilt Bronze, the arms, enclosing segments of polished, black onyx, similarly to the badge; the centre, with red enameled yoke bearing the motto “CAESARIS CAESARI DEI DEO” and a group of five arrows, the reverse, fitted with ornamented vertical pin and two small side-hooks, in case of issue with gilt weapon on the lid, together with lapel hole enameled button. A rare decoration of the highest order of Franco’s Spain, in mint condition. I R!

Breast Star, 90x86 mm., GOLD, chiseled rays, the centre with blue enameled escutcheon bearing the polychrome enamleled ovals with the arms of Spain and the allegory of Justice on white enamel the whole under a white enameled scroll with the Order’s motto, above, the Royal crown with red enameled inner cap, concave reverse, fitted with vertical pin, in the original, red morocco case, lined with sea-blue velvet and silk. A specially-made Jeweled Piece. Breast Badge, 58x49 mm., octagonal, toned GOLD and Silver medal, the obverse with allegory of work and the rising sun, below, white enameled field and applied Spain’s coat of arms in gold and finely-done enamels, blue enameled border, bearing silver inscription “AL MERITO EN EL TRABAJO”, surrounded by diamonds and above, an oak wreath, its acorns as tiny diamonds, the reverse, also of toned gold and silver, depicting an allegory of industry and the inscription “REAL DECRETO / D 22 D ENERO / 1926”, oval loop and round ring, with original, triangular, silk ribbon, with silver, crossed oak and palm branches and fitted with Spanish-style, rectangular suspension bar in gold, fitted with hinged pin to the reverse. A beautiful medal of the reign of Alfonso XIII (1902–1931) made by a skilled jeweler as an unique present to a prominent personality, excellent condition. I RR!

Breast Star of Knight Commander 1st Class, instituted in 1748, 70 mm., a cross of Maltese type, the arms of exquisitely chiseled and pierced silver, centre medallion in gold, with blue enameled field, bearing an upwardly pointing sword in Gold, within Sweden’s “three crowns”, outer circlet of diamond-cut Gold, the reverse fitted with vertical pin and the centre with maker’s escutcheon of Kretly, Paris. A highly interesting and very rare piece of the highest quality as typical of the French jewelers of the late 19th Century, excellent condition. I R!

Order of Vasa
Commander`s Badge, 60x28 mm., in two-colours GOLD of the 1st Type, awarded in the period 1772-1866, with the finest detail and chisel-work, round suspension ring and original, broad neck ribbon. Very rare and almost pristine condition. This order was founded in 1772 by King Gustav III as a reward to civil merits, in 1866, its insignia went under a total reformation, the badges, from a medallion-type turned in a cross, uniformed to the other Swedish orders, the old insignia went mostly retired by the Chancellery and melt, only very few pieces, mostly awarded to foreigners, survived. I RR!
