A complete group of the highest class of the Order: gilt-silver collar chain composed of 14 links of elaborate construction and details with polychrome enamels, depicting the State’s symbols and the Islamic red crescent with yellow-golden star; gilt silver collar badge as a red enameled seven- armed cross, flanked by polished beams; gold-yellow enameled centre medallion with silver arch, under a pattern of tree branches, forming a heraldic architecture; upper, linked suspension as a red enameled crescent and golden star, within laurel wreath and upper, ribbon ring to append the badge to the collar; polished, smooth reverse, with convex counter-medallion; complete with full- length silk sash riband; breast star in silver with polished details, gilt silver and enameled centre, as the badge’s obvers but larger; smooth reverse with polished, convex counter-medallion, this, bearing the maker’s cartouche of Spink & Son, London; the whole in the large, dark green morocco case of issue with orange velvet, fitted inner compartment; the lid, embossed with inscription “PADUKA SETIA NEGARA BRUNEI”; the white silk inner cushion, with maker’s mark of Spink & Son, London. A jewelled First Class Badge with Swords of the 1st type: Golden cross, the obverse with the arms’ fields profusely set with brilliants and polished borders; red enameled, gold centre medallion with cyrillic inscription; white enameled medallion’s outer circlet, bearing the motto in golden lettering; trefoil- shaped, upper loop; the reverse with white enameled arms, applied to the main body; the Princely Bulgarian crown with the obverse face richly set with brilliants, rubies and emeralds, the orb, set with a large brilliant; golden swords with brilliant-set hilts; round suspension ring and original, red sash riband with bow. Made of solid Gold: laurel and oak wreath enclosing an eagle with spreaded wings (these, set with six brilliants each), flying on a landscape with the beaming rising sun, enriched with brilliants; Bulgaria’s Royal Crown, its pendalia and orb, set with rubies; escutcheon bearing the lion rampant below, flanked by ruby-set ribands; the reverse, fitted with horizontal pin. In Gold, a horseshoe with the letters “фНК” on top (Фонд Нашата конница Fund for Our Cavalry) and an open book with laurel wreath below; the centre, with a flying eagle holding a sabre in its claws, on white, green-red enameld ground; the reverse with silver counter-plate, this, bearing the maker’s mark of Stöger, Wien VII.; in the original , ivory-white case of issue with fitted inner compartment. An extremely rare, perhaps unique badge, belonged to the King as patron of the fund; excellent condition. I RR!

A full set of insignia of the Order in Gilt, composed of 42 ornamented links with embossed, stylized symbols an S-shaped link as a closure behind and a small, oblong forward link, to which the badge is appended, as a gilt star of chiseled major rays flanked by shorter, polished ones; centre medallion at the colours of Cambodia in blue-red-blue enamel with symbolic depiction of the sacred Angkor Wat on the red section, outer circlet bearing inscription within golden laurel wreath; on top, the crown of the kings of Cambodia ending with spaherical loop to connect the badge to the collar chain; smooth, polished reverse struck with the maker’s mark “Toch”; Breast Star similar to the collar badge, but not embellished with the crown; concave, polished reverse, fitted with pin. A very rare order, awarded in one class only, instituted by King Norodom Sihanuk on October 5th, 1995 to reward exceptional merits to the State and the Crown; to foreigners, can be granted to heads of state only; this same collar is worn by the King himself; excellent condition. An exceedingly rare badge of a type scarcely awarded; almost excellent condition. A 1st Type, 3rd Class 1st Grade Breast Star (after what stated in Gavin Goh: “The Order of the Double Dragon”, 2012, page 27, 2nd ill. from top-page): four-pointed star with polished, round beams; Gilt Silver pale-blue enameled centre, set with blue paste on pale green-blue base, sided by two dragons; gilt outer circlet with red enameled “stones”; polished, concave reverse with round counter-medallion, struck with with “МБ” and “88” silver marks; vertical, tapering pin with the same marks; in the original, red cloth covered case of issue, the lid embossed with “ORDRE DU DOUBLE DRAGON III CLASSE I GRADE” and fitted inner compartment; the inner cushion with maker’s mark of A.A. Treiden’, St. Petersburg. A beautiful and very rare star of Russian manufacture, identical to that illustrated in the mentioned work of G. Goh, although the inscription on the case (where the star perfectly fits) would allow us to have doubts with the author’s statement and identification, that we report for reason of uniformity with credited bibliography; almost extremely fine condition. Sash Badge, in Silver, as a stylized flower, the centre as a carved red coral within two raised, golden dragons, facing a further, smaller red coral, the whole within elaborate, sky-blue enameled pattern with red enameled endings, round suspension loop, smooth reverse, long suspension ring, the outer side with blue enameled, ornamental pattern. Breast Star, in Silver with smooth, polished rays, round centre with a carved red coral within pale-blue enameled border as a stylized chain, within gilt outer circlet bearing raised, Chinese inscription in archaic script within thin, blue enameled border and around, two dragons facing each other with a small, red coral set on a pale-blue enameled beaming star, the whole enclosed within a sky-blue enameled ornamental pattern, the reverse, fitted with vertical pin, the set, in its original, brown case of issue with golden, archaic Chinese inscription on the lid, blue velvet, fitted inner compartment, the inner lid, lined with yellow silk and red silk cushion. A most important a highly rare collar from the mid 18th Century and, considering its age, in extremely fine condition. The Order of Dannebrog has a legendary history, dating back to 1219, when King Waldemar II created a chivalric order. King Christian V in 1671, instituted this Order as a reviving of the ancient one, and through its history, it still is Denmark`s highest distinction, after the Order of the Elephant. Order of the Legion of Honour
A “jewelled” Knight’s Badge in Silver, with obverse arms completely set with diamonds; laurel and oak leaves also set with green emeralds, cut stones; centre medallion made of two parts in gold with Napoleon’s portrait, blue enameled medallion’s outer circlet with inscription “NAPOLEON EMP. DES FRANCAIS” in Gold; reverse and suspension crown (this, corresponding to the 3rd type), like the “normal” decorations; The link between the badge and the crown, with a “boar’s head” mark, struck for a subsequent sale of the piece in auction, after 1838; suspension ring struck with the “fasces” mark (1809-1819); with ancient ribbon. A highly important and rare piece in extremely fine condition. The badges with brilliants were reserved to the Emperor and the Imperial family only. DES FRANCAIS” in Gold; reverse and suspension crown (this, corresponding to the 3rd type), like the “normal” decorations; The link between the badge and the crown, with a “boar’s head” mark, struck for a subsequent sale of the piece in auction, after 1838; suspension ring struck with the “fasces” mark (1809-1819); with ancient ribbon.
