Order of St. Stanislas
An early, embroidered Breast Star of the Order, the rays made of embossed sheet-Silver, silver sequines, bordered with twisted silver wire and tiny loops to mount the star to the habit or the uniform; white enameled centre medallion bearing the red miniature-painted monogram “SS”; white silk outer circlet bearing the gold embroidered motto “PRÆMIANDO INCITAT” bordered with twisted, gilt silver wire, the whole within broad, green lacquered sheet silver with gold embroidered, stylized laurel sprays and around, an ornamental pattern, made of silver wire; the reverse backed with strong paper. A beautiful piece, extremely rare to see in this type from the establishing of the Russian Order in 1831, excellent condition. Dia.: 86,0 mm. I RR!
