An early, Jewelled Badge of the order: an oval, crystal capsule, enclosing a double-sided, white enameled (one side’s enamel, turned to ivory-white) oval medallion with the order’s cross made of translucent red enamel , with white enameled centre cross, the whole, enclosed within white stones set outer border; hinged suspension in the form of downwardly pointing branches and ribbons, profusely set with white stones; smooth reverse, with horizontal ribbon loop.
