A Knight’s Grand Commander’s Collar of the Order (or “Seri Maharaja Mangku Negara”- “SMN”): gilt Silver chain, composed of 11 round, blue enameled medallions bearing the coat of arms of the various regions forming the state, done in finest enamel miniature, mounted within elaborate, ornamental pattern; 10 decorative links surmounted by the crescent and star, all connected by short elements of chain made of round rings and a larger, breast ornament, also surmounted by the crescent and star to which the gilt Silver Order’s Badge is appended, as a white enameled 11-pointed star flanked by crescents with star; white enameled centre medallion with separately- made and applied Royal Malaysian crown with enameled details and around, the Order’s motto written either in Arabic calligraphy and European characters. A beautiful, extremely rare set of the highest class of this Order instituted in 1966, limited to a maximum of 25 living knights; excellent condition.
