Order of Mecidi
Grand Officer's Star, 2nd Class, Crimean Period. Breast Star, 85 mm., Silver, Turkish hallmarked, in chiseled and pierced silver with gold centre medallion also with the Sultan`s Tughra, with red enameled details and applied scrolls with inscriptions, the reverse with concave counter-medallion bearing the escutcheon of the Turkish Imperial Mint, broad pin and two hooks. A superb and very rare old star of the Crimea period, in extremely fine condition. I R!
