Order of Mecidi
1st Class Star, Grand Cross Star, Crimean Period. Breast Star, 86 mm., Silver, hallmarked, in chiseled and pierced silver with gold centre medallion also with the Sultan`s Tughra, with red enameled details and applied scrolls with inscriptions, the reverse with concave counter-medallion bearing the escutcheon of the Turkish Imperial Mint, broad pin and two hooks. A beautiful and very rare star from the Crimean period, in extremely fine condition. I RR!
