ORDER FOR MERIT, 1937
Officer`s Cross in gilt Silver, 47 mm, one side enameled Malta Cross, between the arms a crown of thorns, in the centre the cipher of King Carol II, on reverse hallmarked "37-crown-90", maker`s mark "HW (Heinrich Weiss, Bucarest)", with original reverse pin. Founded by King Carol II, on the 26th of November 1937, awarded only "Propriu Motu" by the King for merits in war, cultural achievements, or services rendered to the crown. Extremely rare and attractive order and class, very seldom awarded, in extremely fine condition. I RR!
