Constantinian Order of St. George
Grand Cross Star of reduced size of old Austrian manufacture. Breast Star, 60 mm., Silver, chiseled and pierced rays, the centre as a red enameled cross with polished lettering and applied, chiseled, golden “X”, concave, polished reverse, fitted with vertical pin, this, struck with silver marks. An important, extremely rare star of the Parmese branch of this ancient order, that can be dated around 1840/45 ca., made in the finest quality, probably on behalf of an Austrian or Parmese nobleman, excellent condition.
