Watercolor on fine paper depicting a general of the Indian troops "during the time of the English" in a traditional kurta, standing in profile, displaying his attributes: saber, katar on his belt, and shield, plumed headdress adorned with precious stones, the proud man displays his insignia on his arm. Neutral background, frame outlines, good general condition, preserved colors, minor scratches without consequence. Formerly glued on cardboard. The presence of a halo around the character's head suggests that he is a notable figure, perhaps venerated. Old representation from the second part of the 19th century, South india.
